There are countless numbers of bathroom accessories that you can use to enhance your bathroom.

Things like vases or ornaments can be used to divert attention from other less attractive areas of the bathroom. Care should be taken not to over apply this technique else your bathroom will look cluttered.

Flowers (artificial or real) give a refreshing and vibrant look and enhance the mood within the bathroom.

Things like pedestal bins are practical accessories that can be used to hide cotton balls and other unattractive bathroom waste.

These are the three major uses of bathroom accessories – diversions, decorations and useables. Some bathroom accessories combine more than one of these characteristics.

Let’s face it, we’re not all rich, so where money can be saved, people are interested. Bathroom accessories are a great money saving technique. They provide the illusion of expense without having to break the bank. Chrome toothbrush holders, toilet roll holders and waste bins are great examples, all of which have practical uses, divert attention from the sanitaryware and look nice and shiny. When it comes to appearance we humans are nothing more than glorified magpies.

Bath mats and floor grip grids reduce the blandness of a one-colour tiled or surfaced bathroom floor, as well as reduce the risk of slipping. There are any number of materials, shapes and colours of bathroom mats available in this time of great choice and all of them are easily affordable. Then there are shower curtains, again available in a wide range of colours and materials. The old disposable plastic shower curtains may suit you down to the ground. At least when they get old and mould-grown they can be thrown away and cost next to nothing to replace. Heavier fabric versions can be washed, but personally I would opt for the disposable plastic. This however comes down to personal preference. Of course the less money-limited individual would go for the integrated walk-in shower or glass shower screen, which do not suffer the wear and tear, or mould issues that fabrics and plastic sheets do. Final Summary

When choosing bathroom accessories such as pedestal bins, toothbrush holders, toilet roll holders, shower curtain rings, vases, ornaments, soap dishes and dispensers and shower curtains, try to choose them so that they all compliment oneanother. If you opt for a "rainbow bathroom", then take no heed of these final words and you will do just fine.
